The count down!!!!

I'm Turning 30
Okay so officially I won't be 30 til' February, but in just three days I will be joining up with the twiner and her hubby, along with my hubby, in Vegas. I have never been there, except when I was younger and we drove through. Anywhoo, I am SO excited to go and be child free for 3 1/2 days:-) I am SO grateful to my brave friend who is going to come to my house and watch all four of them along with her daughter. I am sure after the several days, she will be determined to probably never have any more kids......just kidding.

Anyway, the four of us (Pamela, Jared, me and Jonathan) have never done this kind of thing before. I know we will all probably loose a couple of pounds because we will be laughing so much and have cramps in our cheeks from smiling. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being a mom, but it is true when "they" say a little time away is ALWAYS good for both parent(s) and child. You will appreciate one another more:-) Needless to say, I am elated to be having this break and know that I will be refreshed and ready to be in the mommy roll, by the end of next week.

*Just a little side note, the hotel was $35 buck- a- roos a night and it's not a crapy one either:-) *

If anyone has any suggestions of free things, that are fun, to do there, send it my way....Oh an good restaurants (It really is about the food for me)!!!

Cheers to milestone birthdays and to be sharing them with the one(s) closest to you:-)

No need to worry, just venting!

Okay, the past 4 days have been so draining to me. It seems about every 3 to 4 months, I get in this downer. I almost feel like "I surrender" to the never ending clean up of little ones. I totally get that kids make messes, but no matter how long I have been a mom and no matter how many times people have told me, "They are kids, they make messes", I still get in these moods. I am burnt out from the relentless crap that builds up, in seriously such a short amount of time. Don't worry in a day or two I will look at the two day build up or more,(that is because I last cleaned Saturday and refuse to clean up one more thing until I feel...uh I don't know appreciated) and start to clean, because I can't stand it. But until then I am on STRIKE. I feel a little lazy, but then again, WHO cares!
Wow that feels good:-)
Anyway, just wanted to vent a little, thanks for listening!!!!

Potty Traing Fun!!!!!!

So last night, little Mags had some diarrhea. Anyway, while on the toilet, she decided to try to wipe herself, which I immediately tried to stop her, but was just a little to slow. She didn't get it all over just a little on her finger tips and under some nails. So I thought I would get the nail clippers to cut the nails, that way it would be easier to clean the poop out. So as she is sitting on the toilet, I am clipping away and one of the nails would not let go of the clippers, so I tried to tap it on the side of the toilet, so it would fall in. Well, the nail definitely got in the toilet, but along with the clippers. HUGE gasp. Oh, no I thought. I couldn't just flush this one away. I had to go in somehow and get the clippers. I shout out to the hubby to get some tongs. Apparently in my moment of poopiness, I told him they were in the sink, which they weren't, they were in one of the drawers. Anyway, he yells, up, I don't see them. I confess, I started to get a little upset and thought, "Are you serious, it is not that hard to find them." I immediately went downstairs to find them myself, which they were in the drawer where I thought I told him to look (even though I told him the sink, my bad) Anyway, I rush back upstairs to face my awful encounter with the most disgusting toilet ever. Man, I was dry heaving so bad. The poo was SO nasty. The funny thing is, is that the kids came in to see why I was making such weird noises. Mags, was patting my back saying, What wrong Mommy? So cute! Then I hear my hubby yell out, do you want me to get the camera so you can post it on your blog? NO, I yell back. I started to laugh thinking, wow who would want to take a picture of nasty crap, let alone someone, fishing clippers out of nasty crap. I am sure I painted a good enough picture for all of you. The fun things we do to ourselves, right? Anyway, the tongs and clippers soaked in rubbing alchohol all night then went into the dishwasher with HIGH heat setting. Happy days:-)

This time of year

This is the girls frosting cookies several days before Christmas! This is my favorite cookie (butter cookies with butter cream frosting) When my mom would make these every year, I remember sneaking back in the utility room and eating as many as I could. Yummy:-)

This is Christmas day at my Dad's place in Mesa. We had a delicious Prime Roast with all the sides you could imagine;-)
I love this time of year here! It feels like the fall and that is one of my favorite times of year. Anyway, I hope everyone's holidays were full of fun memories and good times! We went to Utah for a week and had a lot of fun. Jonathan's immediate family has so many of them that it sometimes becomes a little overwhelming for me. It is weird to me because when we were living in Utah, I never thought twice about all the people, but being that only my dad lives here with his wife and we might get together once a month we (I) have become socially quiet around all of them, trying to figure out where I fit in. I actually like to just observe everyone and see how the 35 nieces and nephews have changed/grown. Besides my feelings I seriously had so much fun! I got to spend the most time with my one sister in-law who is moving to Italy this month. We stayed at one of Jonathan's brothers house and stayed up late talking or watching movies. Needless to say we were pooped out and are glad we are back in our beds.

We stayed with my Mom for the first couple of days. Here are the girls opening presents the first night.Aunt Kait with Mag pie!

This was so cute to me. Sunday morning as I was getting the girls ready for church, Anna was putting some "make-up" on herself and then mag pie insisted on her putting some on her:-)

Aunt Kait playing in the snow with the girls. She is a brave soul. I had NO desire to go out in the snow. Mainly because I had no gear to go out in. We had to be creative with the girls snow gear. I didn't have any for them, so we layered their socks over their shoes and then put plastic grocery bags over it. They loved the snow, but then decided that one time was enough for them and didn't play in it for the rest of the trip.I will post more pictures of the rest of the trip once I get them downloaded:-)
